Lets get straight to it: Kostjantynivka has been captured by Russia and is now under fully control, its has been comming a while but now its official, Ukraine will ofc deny and say otherwise but the Russians has been close to capturing the city thast used to have over 80.000 people in it before the war. This is a big win for Russia and one that could give the Russians the strategic advantages when it comes to taking Kramatorsk and Slavjansk which has a lower elevation compared to the surroundings meaning that capturing those 2 cities will be faster than what it took to take Kostjantynivka. Now Liman is also about to fall and they are saying that it is a matter of days before Liman falls and then there is only Kramatorsk and Slavjansk left in the donbass region and that means technically that Russia Special military operation is complete but since Zelenskyy will not accept any deal then the only thing Russia can do is to change the SMO and take more territory and fight all the way to Kiev. Remember that the Donbass region was the most fortified place that Ukraine had and now Kostjantynivka has fallen and Liman is next to fall and after that there is only Kramatorsk and Slavjansk left which will take less time than Kostjantynivka and Liman.

Besides the big news of Kostjantynivka taken then there has been more information that could tip the fight in donbass, the Drone jammer technology of the Donbass Dome has been implemented and this gives Russia an edge and bigger chance to jam and destroy drones, on top of that then Russia has developed Radar technology that is givien to the ground units and can be used to spot and locate Drones in the air giving the soldiers a bigger chance to shoot them down. These 2 new tech could give Russians a boost in the fight in doanbass and if they test out good on the battlefield then they will be used everywhere and really limit the effect of drones which so far has changed the way war is conducted.

Else where on the battlefront Russia is also gaining grounds, taking small villages upon small villages and again no sign from Ukraine that they have any succes in counter offensives or any offensive on their own, this ofc means that if Ukraine dosent or cant succeed by taking any territory them selves means that they are loosing the war, if all you can do is defend and drag out the war but slowly keep loosing territory then you will loose, especially because Ukraines best fortified locations are in the donbass region, if that falls Ukraine will be in a much worse position and again it will be only a matter of time before Ukraine looses the war completely.

One of Ukraine’s only hope is that Russia’s economy will collapse which atm looks unlikely even if it is under pressure, another way that Ukraine can avoid defeat is if they enlarge the war by dragging Nato in to it, but since Nato is an exstention of USA that means Trump wount allow that to happen. So Zelenskyy is under pressure and with the fall of Kostjantynivka then it is looking bad for Ukraine. For Russia they are talking about rewarding the field officers and leaders in the Donbass region with higher level training via the Russia Military school which has a long and rich history but this will only happen after Kramatorsk and Slavjansk has been taking, they Russia will give the highest war education you can get to the field leaders in the Donbass Region. This would be an important step in case of a longer war where the eU drags into the war somehow or perhaps Nato is dragged in to it somehow but that is unlikely for now, but having some of the highest experienced and educated fields commanders in this time will be valuable for Russians in any scenario going forward.
