Let’s start with the frontline, the main focus for Russia is in 2 places in the donbass Kostiantynivka and Liman, in both places the fighting is fierce and bitter, its going slowly in terms of territory but losses on both sides are high acording to each side, the Ukrainians ofc claim that Russia are loosing huge amount of soldiers and not so many them selves and ofc the reverse is comming from Russia so we have to assume that both sides are loosing alot of soldiers in the fighting. Now if we move to the south near Zaporochya then for the most part the Russians are taking small villages closer to the city it self and also near Orekhov, the remaining last bastion for Ukraine, before the siege of Zaporochye will begin sometime in summer most likely. Now there are some claims from Ukraine that they have made an succesful counteroffensive east of Zaporochye and that they have taken several villages and that the Russians have taken alot of casualties and it might be true but the Russians are being quiet about it if it is true.

The russians keeps bombarding Ukraine with missiles and drones every few days inbetween and the damage is brutal, most of the energy sector in Ukraine have been destroyed or is in serious need of repairs and in these cold times its hard to be a civilian let alone a soldiers for Ukraine. Ukraine can shoot down some of the drones but hardly any of the Iskander m or Kinjhal, Zirkons or Oreshnik are touch by the air defenses cause the missiles are too fast, they fly with hyper sonic speed which is ten times the speed of sound. Now Ukraine have missiles of their own but for the most part they are shot down by russian airdefenses but lately they had some luck, some missiles, probably the Flamengo’s, hit very deep into russians territory and hit a millitary structure that produces the iskander M cruise missile and this was a big hit from Ukraine and they have been speaking highly about this strike for a few days now which they should, it’s very rare that they succeed with their missiles because of the slow speed and high flightpath the missiles uses which makes then easy target for the Russians airdefenses.

The peacetalks are going nowhere to the frustrations of everyone involved, Zelenskyy holds firm on his demands of no territory loss while Russia demands the opposite if any peace are to be agreed upon. USA is trying to make both sides agree but at the same time they pleases both sides which is counterproductive, if you say yes to both sides all the time then nothing will come of it if both sides disagree on alot of issues. It doesn’t help much that Ukraine tried an attempt on one of the Russian chief negotiator but he survived the assasination attempt but we dunno what his state is at this point, if he has taken permanent damage or what. This assasination attempt has been met with anger in Russia who want the military to respond in kind and target Ukrainian generals or leadership. If Russia will ramp up the dirty war remains to be seen, so far they have kept to the konventional war and done very little when it comes to dirty war but that could change in the near future, we will see.
