Big news has hit the net, it’s does seem like that Ukraine will be getting Tomahawks AND a new missile called Barracuda which is still in prototype, there is a big difference in these two cruise missiles, firstly the Tomahawk has a very long range at and around 2500 km and it has a potentiel nuclear war head attachement if needed but ofc Ukraine won’t be getting those. The only issue with the Tomahawk, which is sub sonic, is that normaly it is fired from a ship or an aircraft and Ukraine really doesn’t have much of either so instead they have developed a Tomahawk that can be fire from the ground with the right equipment but it does limit how many they can fire at any given time, let’s say Ukraine get’s 10 launchers to start with and each launcher can fire 2-3 missiles before reload then that is 20-30 missiles or perhaps more, we will learn more of the system as time goes on. Now the Barracuda is alot smaller and has a smaller range but still long enough to hit deeper inside russia compared to Ukraine’s current striking abillity, but the best thing about the Barracuda is that it is really cheap and designet to be easy to produce so you can mass produce them and use them in more ways since they can be used more efficiently towards smaller targets unlike the Tomahawk which is more expensive to fire and needs a decent size of target to make out for it’s cost. USA is also allowing Ukraine to acces more information about potentiel targets inside Russia and especially the oil infrastructure will be targeted and the aim is to disrupt the oil flow and economy and thus make it harder for Russia’s economy to function, the oil and gas represents around 25% of russia economy along side other minerals.

Ukraine is also almost ready to sign a 90 billion dollar military buy order from USA, now Ukraine nor the EU/Nato has that kinbd of money to splash out but instead they will take it from the russian frozen assets which was frozen the day Russia invade Ukraine and was meant to invest in the EU market back then but because of the conflict it has been frozen and because EU can’t directly take the money they have instead planned to borrow money and using the Russian assets as collateral for the payments so if anyone, aka Russia, wants it back they must ask Ukraine to repay the loan made in the money which ofc will never happen. Im unsure on how much money there is in total of the frozen assets since many numbers have been floated around the net but over 150 billion euro has been mentioned before and now 90 billion will go to USA in payment for military gear and equipment. This will have an impact on the battlefield in the mid to long term, the reason I don’t say short term is because the version of the Tomahawk and the Barracuda is still being produced as we speak and needs to before implementing, this ofc means that ukraine has to delay the way as much as possible since they positive effect will come the longer they last. Emmanuel Macron has told the health department in France to upgrade itøs facility to be able to handle alot of injuried and effected people by mid 2026 and the rumour is at least in 2027 or earlier some of the EU states will enter the war in some capasity, this again put’s pressure on Ukraine to hold and delay the way as much as possible so that everything will becone a benefit for Ukraine the longer they delay.

Even as this put’s preassure on Russia to win the war faster then Russia still have escalatory superiority, menaing they can still increase their effort in this war, for instance the Oreshnik missile has been produced for some time but not really used and therefore there is a large number of them available if needed and same goes for other missiles, so even as Ukraine will be leveling out the playing field in regards to missiles then Russia still has the upper hand even if it will be pressured alot more. Remember that Russia has in many parts of the contact line a 3/1 numerical advanteges and are slowly but surely winning the war, but since the West is trying to catch up on many fronts then Russia still has the advanteges atm and for some time but how long that will last is hard to say, it depends on the scale of which these new missiles systems are introduced and how fast they are delivered. Another factor is how much more the US will escalate, if there is more to come from them than the Tomahawks and Barracudas, time will tell but for now the West is escalating and the Russian responds will also be escalatory, more missiles and more drones and perhaps more fronts on the battleline.

I will say one last thing, Thump seems to have gone away from his positions of less involvement, yes the EU/Nato will pay for the material via the Russian fronzen assets but USA has clearly entered the war more directly with the release of the 2 missiles and more direct targeting data on Russian oil and gas infrastructure, Trump is becomming more Joe Biden even as he claims he isen’t, looks like the neo cons has won in USA and Trump also prepares for War in Venesuela which is all about the oil there and ofc also versus Iran which many suspects could be attacked again and this time with perhaps troops like Venesuela. Everything is gearing up for war and 800 of USA’s Generals has been at a summit in Virginia to prepare for the future which is war, WHILE Trump says he should get the Nobel Peace prize… what a world we live in, so deluded people running the world, it sure is dangerous times we live in sadly.
