After the pineline sneak attack by Russia the situation in Kupiansk has been bad, the reports were that Ukraine where retreating from several positions leaving a few strong positions alone inside Kupiansk, but now Ukraine are trying to do counter attacks in Kupiansk and they have called upon the Azov brigade, they have renamed but it is the Azov brigade that Ukraine has sent in to try and do dmg control, The Azov brigade is one of the best units that ukraine has available and despite it has lost alot of strengh it gets rejuvenated with new troops once and a while. If this is enough to stop the Russians advance is hard to say, at best I fear it will only slow it down at a high cost, but one thing is certain, Ukraine wants to fight for every little territory and refuses to give away area’s they seem to have lost, they throw in everything!, including the kitchen sink!

The EU has said that the sanctions against Russia are working slowly but surely and this might be true but Russia has shown resilliens in regards to the economic sanctions in the past and that might be true in the future as well, they have after all build up a coalition in the Brics and its member states which in the future will be the new trading grounds for Russia. It’s true that many of the countries are gonna take a while before they are ready for big trade deals but China and India are already trading with Russia and this might increase in the future. But it’s not only Russia who has challenges financielly, same does the EU, in fact they are in a weird situation where they at the one hand are beeing tariffed by USA AND ask to sanction and stop buying Russian oil, it’s funny that the EU have made 18 santions packages against russia but keep buying oil indirectly from Russia via India or China, both of which USA wants to stop if the sanctions are gonna work, but the energi topic is a sensitive one for the EU, cause doubling the cost or nearby that number will create internal problems financielly in the many EU countries who many already have issues, especially the big countries like UK, France and Germany who are the most vocal about the ukraine conflict.
