As predicted the Washington meeting was not a success, Zelenskyy said no to basicly everything that came from the Alaska meeting , he want’s Nato membership, he wants security guaranties and doesn’t wanna concede any territory nor does he want any land swaps as Trump proposed, what more then many people jump to the conclusion that there should be a bilateral meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy, but Russia was out quickly to say no to this, there is no reason YET for them to meet, only when there is a breakthrough in the negotiations and that the two countries can agree on must issues but there is no reason for them to meet at the current situation.

I must say I don’t understand Trump’s logic, maybe he just pleases the people he talks too, but this doesn’t resolve anything, it keeps the two conflicting parties to never agree on anything cause Trump sweet talks to everyone and therefore no ones changes their minds, you would think after the Alaska meeting that Trump would pressure Zelenskyy alittle but he didn’t do that at all, nor did he pressure Putin at the Alaska meeting. Funny rumor was that allegedly Trump phoned Putin during the Washington meeting, right in the middle and out of the blue, if this is true I dunno but he did kinda said that he would perhaps use the airforce to protect the air if a peacedeal is agreed, and the Europeans wanted to put troops into Ukraine if a peacedeal is agreed upon, but weirdly enough then Russia and Putin has stated that there can be no Nato force or Nato-Like force in ukraine if a peacedeal is agreed, that is a big no from Russia, this also goes for USA troops controlling the airspace, creating a no fly zone. So the Washington meeting was a huge flop and nothing productive came out of it, in fact it was counter-productive and led to a big gab between Putin and Zelenskyy.

It’s unsure how Trump will proceed, will he try again? If he can’t presuade Zelenskyy to give in to a land swap or concede some territory then the fighting has to continue, no matter how sad that would be but that’s the only outcome. I don’t see the purpose on another meeting with Putin as long he has nothing new to tell him, no progress to report about, just the same situation as it has been for a very long time, everyone stand by their strongest and most impossible demands and nothing get’s done. The EU is very happy about this, their don’t want peace, only a capitulation from Russian and if that doesn’t happend then war and more war even if they are loosing. I wanna bring a person who might or might not change the whole dynamic and that is the former general and now diplomat or Ambassador to London and UK: Valerii Zaluzhnyi, there is two things that might happend if he replaces Zelenskyy, one is that the soldiers morale would increase alot, they love him alot and many hates Zelenskyy, he’s a comedian and not a soldier, never has been and this could hurt Zelenskyy in the long term, but Zalauzhnyi is a former general and he would give the whole war effort a boost, this is perhaps the only change they have to reignite their military campaign, but if that fails he must be ready to talk with Putin unlike Zelenskyy who refuses everything, there has to be some realism in the end, nothing else makes sense.
