The big surprize was that the Alaska meeting avoided the whole cease-fire talks and went straight to a negotiation which has the aim to settle for a PEACE-DEAL! Yup you read right, a peacedeal! An end to the war and a time for peace and prosper again for everyone, but there is ofc a catch! -that is that the peace deal proposal reflects the current situation on the battlefield which means Russia is gonna give up a little bit of territory but in return get some other that they are fighting for as we speak, this ultimately means that Ukraine will have to give up some territory for peace and that won’t go down well with Zelenskyy or the Europeans who has been positioning them selves as hard as possible, with conditions that is only is given to someone winning the war which ultimately means that it is most likely that Zelenskyy and the EU will say no to the deal even if peace is what it is about.

Today monday the 18/8 Trump will hold a meeting with Zelenskyy in Washington and the Europeans has ofc asked to be allowed to visit as well, this means Starmer from UK, Macron from France, Mertz from Germany and Ursula from the EU will join the meeting but I am pretty sure they have one goal, namely to disrupts the peacedeal, the problem is that the peacedeal reflects the situation on the battlefield and that means Russia is the big winner in all of this, they will get Donbass (Donesk and Luhansk) plus some of Zaporozhye and Kherson. Ukraine will get some in return as well but it will still be Russia who will get the most and that is also how it should be considering that Russia is winning the war. You cannot demand that Russia retreats and lay down arms when you’re losing to them, simple as that, and no arms or military delivery will help change that, it’s over, yes if the fighting continues it will still take a long time but Russia are the ones who are pushing and no matter what the propaganda is saying then Russia is slowly and surely winning the war.

So the meeting today will come to nothing I predict, EU will help Zelensklyy to disrupt the deal and the fighting will continue, the big question is what will Trump do, will he put the big tariff’s on countries trading with Russia and Russia it self or will he use a NO from Zelenskyy to stop the arms delivery from the USA, he has threaten this before and the EU fears this alot, cause they cannot replace the gear that USA is sending to Ukraine, they can at best pay for it. I find it hard to believe that Trump has the courage to stop the military delivery even if this would be a pathway for Trump if Zelenskyy goes against his wishes and derails the talks, but who knows if it is possible but it would require alot from Trump to go against the whole military industriel complex and all the neo-cons who sides with Zelenskyy and the EU in this matter. So even if Trump is actually going for a peacedeal then I fear he will be talking to deaf ears today, I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that the EU and Zelenskyy will be asking for that cease-fire as a must no matter what, but Russia has said no firmly to that issue, cause they understand that this would give the west not only a possibility to reinforce Ukraine with military support and reorganisation of Ukraine but also to even dare send troops into Ukraine during the cease-fire in order to play chiken with Russia and thus send that signal that Ukraine is part of Nato or something of that nature, but USA has said firmly that Nato won’t go into Ukraine and that USA won’t support France or German troops or british inside Ukraine meaning there will be NO article 5 for them to call upon if Russia starts attacking again. Russia absolutely doesn’t want to complicate matters and therefor they are against a cease-fire that will only be abused by Ukraine and the west, therefor an actual peacedeal is to prefer from Russia and ofc one that reflects the battlefield atm, and this is what Trump seems to be giving Putin acording to the rumors of the Alaska meeting. So will the EU and Zelenskyy disrupt the talks and perhaps even do a Zelenskyy 2.0 at the whitehouse acting really aggressively and out of control or will they get their heads straight and go for that peacedeal we all want so desperately and an end to the fighting senseless death and killings.
