It seems to me that Brics at some point is gonna challenge the Dollar reserve currency at some point and USA are well aware of that, but how will the battle be fought? Right now USA enjoy monopoly on the financial system in the world by controlling the IMF and the world bank and more, this monopoly or hegemony in the finances will at some point be challenge since USA exploits this dominance by the many sanctions and now tariffs that they impose on other countries, it’s abuse of powers if you ask me and the conclusion is that people will try and challenge this system at some point in history to much dismay of USA who’s economy could be at a risk if that were to ever happen, the massive debt would suddenly become more impactful if countries leave the dollar system.

Now China is the main actor who at this point in time has enough muscle power in the financial world to be able to do so but they would need more time and Brics would need to grow and strengthen their connection and trade before they could do so. At the moment USA is putting tariffs on the Brics countries who attended the last meeting and even if it was only 10% the signal was clear, don’t mess with the USA nor challenge the dollar system, and maybe USA has the upper hand at the moment cause the Brics is still evolving and still very unstable, sanction and tariffs could break this coalition unless China risk a fast response to this pressure which is unlikely at the moment. The Taiwan conflict has the potential to be the next “Ukraine” and USA is also trying to contain China in its region, trying to limit them of their influence on other countries.

So the stage is set for a battle to break free of the hegemony and monopoly system that USA has, question is when will this battle take place, in the near future or will it be postponed a long time? The possibilities are many and the outcome of the Ukraine conflict could have an impact on what happens next, if the war ends, USA might move towards Taiwan in order to set up the next conflict and polarize everyone in Asia against China, not something that is as popular as Nato is in the West and their move towards Russia, but nonetheless USA might try it anyway and force people to join their side! What ever happen it will have a very big impact on the world, if the Brics succeed then the multipolar world opens up and it would be and end to the dominant US system that would take a big hit during the creation of an alternative financial system, if USA prevails to be the hegemony then nothing will change and USA will continue bully countries into doing their bidding via debt slavery and tariff and sanction pressure.
