Short update on the war, the big news is that Russia has entered Kupiansk, it’s almost surrounded or in a semi cauldron and it will be hard to defend unlike Chasiv Yar Turned out to be, I call Chasiv yar a long time ago after it was taken but Ukraine did manage to retake some part of it and hold it for a very long time, the surroundings on the area made it a good place to hold for Ukraine and they did put up a brave fight for it, but Kupiansk is a relative small place and it’s much harder to defend.

Russian continues to strike Ukraine with Drone and missiles on a regular basis, lately they hit several locations in the western Ukraine, an area they normally don’t hit that often, they prefer to hit targets in Kiev and eastwards, closer to the frontline as its much easier to identify targets there. It will take some time before we are told the dmg that these strikes did and question will if we will see more strikes before we are told of the dmg of the previous one.

Russian continues to move westward and Ukraine is not getting weapons from USA that originated from Joe Biden, those deals has run out and Trump refuses to give weapons for free, instead it looks like EU has to step up even if they already in the past said that they cannot substitute the aid that USA gave Ukraine, that’s simply impossible so Zelenskyy has a big problem, not only are Ukraine loosing more men than they can recruit but now the arms delivery and money is running out, the EU does however still posses the frozen Russian assets that they can dip into, something they have already done a bit but it comes at a cost, who on earth would create investment funds in EU projects if they just freeze and steal the money, this would scare potential investors away and has already given EU a bad reputation.
