USA made a precision strike against 3 nuclear facilities in Iran, all of them was hit using bunker buster bombs which can penetrate large and massive surfaces and go deep into the ground before exploding. To what extend the damage has been is still up for debate, Trump claims total destruction of the facilities while Iran does admit damage done but is more conservative about the damage but the rubble has to be removed before any real estimate can be made about the damage, meanwhile Trump has made it clear that a regime change is still on the table, but whether or not he wants to try and negotiate with Iran first is unclear, and invading Iran is no small task, the country is surrounded by large mountains and also has some big desert fields which has some of the hottest temperatures measures on this planet.

So an invasion will be a more complicated and more cost both in terms of manpower and materiel and it will risk destabilize the entire region and could even provoke a regional war. Russia has offered Iran a strategic defensive pact but Iran refused a while ago, Iran still believes it can get a deal with USA going and siding with Russia could hurt their changes for peace with USA, that said China is reported to be giving a lot of aid in various forms to Iran and its likely that Russia will do the same if they are not already doing it, they do have deal together but it doesn’t make them allies as a strategic defensive pact would make them. Iran did however ask for Nukes from both Russia, China and North Korea but it was strongly rejected by all parties and specially Russia is against expanding nuclear capabilities to more countries and doesn’t want to give Iran a Nuke.

Israel and Iran are, at the moment, bombing the hell out of each other and that exchange could last some times as both parties believe they can win an attrition warfare over a period of time but right now Iran are doing well in this battle and are giving Israel a hard time, Iran has around 20-25.000 ballistic missiles even if Israel claims they destroyed a third of their arsenal, earlier the rumor was that Iran had 45.000 missiles of various kind, a lot old and outdate missiles but still a lot, that estimate has gone down by a large amount after the conflict started and the 45.000 was probably overshot by a large amount of realities. Iran also has a large industrial capabilities and produces a lot of drones as well as missiles. Most notably is the Fattah 1 Missiles which is a hypersonic missiles that flies march 10 or faster, around 13 times the speed of sound which makes it impossible for Israel Iron dome to shoot down, no one has the ability to defend against such fast missiles, even USA’s patriot missiles are unable to do this, we this in Ukraine on a daily basics.

I hope both sides come to their senses and stops this madness, no one can win this exchange of missiles and Israel will ultimately ask USA to step in if Iran comes ahead in the attrition warfare so they might as well call it a day both of them, USA and Israel got what they wanted namely an end to Iran’s Nuclear capabilities so the only thing there is left is regime change which Donald Trump has not excluded, all options are on the table as they like to say. A key thing is also how far Russia and China will go in defense of Iran, will they put soldiers on the ground and what will happen if they do, could it lead to world war 3? For Russia and China there is much at stake, they know they are next after Iran at some point in the future, the neo-cons in USA has their eyes set on both Russia and China but they are no pushovers and are both very strong with Russia perhaps the best military force at the moment because of the war in Ukraine, its up to date and super modern and it is evolving all the time, especially in the drones and missiles department.
