Lets start with the Spider Web Operation by Ukraine which has been discussed a lot, I have the advantage that I’m a bit late so therefor more information has come to light about the result of the operation which is debated a lot. Let dive straight into the claims that over 40 airplanes where hit, that claim was false and part of a propaganda to hype the operation, reality is that not even 20 planes where hit, in fact only around 10 airplanes where hit, around 5 or so where destroyed beyond repair and 2 airplanes were already out of commission which lead many to believe that they probably didn’t even had engines in them. Despite that immensely overestimated claims of planes destroyed then the operation was a success and it hurt the Russian pride a lot, they where made to look silly and retribution will surely be very brutal, not only are we talking about Russians strategic bomber fleet that where hit but also some used for nuclear capabilities where hit so it was an attack on there nuclear capabilities. Up to 5 airfield far into Russia where targeted but only at 3 of them the damage where done. The reasons the airplanes where easy target was because USA and Russia has a gentleman’s agreement that they leave the airplanes on the airfield open so that they can be easily spotted by satellite and thus reassure that the nuclear airplane fleet isn’t being prepared for use, this helps keep tension low even ad midst wartime, therefor the airplanes where easy target for the drones in the first place, Russia will surely retaliate hard because of this sneak attack but more on this later on in this post.

Ukraine has also been busy blowing up bridges in Russian territory to make it harder to move their troops and gear around, sadly through one of these bridges where destroyed as a Public train went under it and 7 people got killed, 2 children, and a lot where injured as well. This attack happen in Bryansk and the Russians consider this an act of terror and plans to respond to this as well, in fact they are considering to expand or upgrade the current SMO ( Special Military Operation) to add an ATO ( Anti Terror Operation) as well, many speculate that this will mean targeting of the Ukrainian Secret military organisation lead by Bogdanov. Some has claims that it could also lead to the targeting of Zelenskyy in Kiev who would then have to leave the country in order to be safe from missiles strikes, so far Russia has told them that Zelenskyy was not a target and the reason for this is that Russia regards him as very chaotic and a bad leader and would prefer if he stays in leadership to prevent a more capable person leading the Ukrainians, but this could end because of the terrorist attack in Bryansk, Putin is under a lot of pressure to do something of the many acts that could be viewed as terrorist attack like the killings of Russians Generals in public with car bomb and such devices, Putin him self dislike the use of these tactics but he may be forced to do something in order to satisfy the Russian people.

Many speculate that Russia will begin a very large bombing campaign as punishment of the Spider Web, recently Russia has used a lot of Iskander M Cruise missiles and Ukraine actually manage to hit one yesterday, this was only the third Iskander M to have been hit by the Ukrainian Anti air missiles system, the Patriot system, this shows that Russia has basically free reign when it comes to bombing as the patriot systems cant target the cruise missiles and only hit them by random chance, also because we haven’t seen much to the Oreshnik missile then many say that perhaps these will be used in the responds to the Spider Web operation, USA has sent a warning to Americans staying in Ukraine to keep away for some time because of the rumor of a huge bombing campaign with many cruise missiles that Ukraine can’t hit. When the Russians will retaliate is still unknown but a guess is sooner rather than later since Putin is under pressure from the media in Russia to do something about it, even the SMO is going to slow according to many Russians because what many people don’t realize is that it is an attrition operation which means that killing and eliminating people is more important than taking area’s, so instead of going hard to take some terrain then its better to bomb and hit Ukrainians with as much artillery as possible and drones ofc, Russia dominates the war with more manpower, more artillery, air superiority and more advanced drones, therefor it is in the interest of Russian to fight attrition warfare to drain the Ukrainian manpower and morale and even if the Spider Web operation may give Ukraine a small boost morale wise then wait for the Russian responds and then we can talk later about who did the most dmg, I bet the Russians will do.

We also need to talk about an rather embarrassing issue for Ukraine, Russia has made 6000 Ukrainian bodies available near the Frontline, around 25% are in trucks with freezers, all documented and in body bags, the problem is that Ukraine haven’t come forward to take them in, speculation has been many, mostly that Ukraine didn’t wanna paid the money to the dead’s family or that Ukraine didn’t wanna do any deal just yet because they don’t want the negotiation from the Istanbul to be looked as proceeding or successful, they want to end the negotiation and that means saying no to getting the bodies but media has gotten wind of the story with 1500 bodies waiting at the frontline and the rumor is they have to accept the bodies one of these days. It’s a bad look for Ukraine this story cause it makes them look bad and Russia as the ones who are on top of things, including another prisoner exchange which also is according to the Istanbul talks which Ukraine want to leave.
