There is no progress between Israel and Hamas, both of them are not giving in to their absolutist positions, Hamas won’t lay down their arms as long as Israel are in Gaza and Israel will not leave Gaza until Hamas lay down their arms, this is what is blocking a cease-fire and peace talks. Sadly because Israel is blocking aid and controlling it very harshly there is a famine crisis with 500.000 people facing starvation, there are food enough but Israel is blocking aid trucks and controlling the food very strongly as a measure to force Hamas out or to make them lay down their arms.

52.862 people have lost their lives in this conflict a further 119.648 has been wounded, according to Gaza health ministry which has been very good with its numbers, its as close to official as you can get it. My personal opinion is that there won’t peace as long as Hamas is at the helm of Talks cause Israel won’t allow Hamas to ever come out as the winners, cause this will mean that Israel lost the war and that attacking Israel like on the 7th October is a success, sadly in my view Hamas can only get what they want by laying down their arms and I don’t think they will ever do that. This means we will see the horror on the Palestinian people continue while the western world stays silent on this matter, People think this is an for or against Hamas but in reality it is for or against the Palestinian people, it sounds harsh but you cant stay silent like most of the West does, people have to support the Palestinians, not Hamas, the Palestinian people. Hamas complicate things cause the attack on 7th of October 2023 many see as a terror attack and any support for Hamas is a support of that event, therefor the focus has to be on the cause of the Palestinian people, you can easily separate the two issues and still support the Palestinian people, you just have to say it.
