We have heard it all before but weather conditions never where right for the Russian offensive, neither in the winter, which where very mild, nor in the summer, and I have my doubts if we will ever see it, but there is renewed talks about an offensive and because of the cease-fire talks then the timing could be right, the spring is here and the weather is just right and will be so until autumn when the rain sets in for month perhaps. The peace talks does put a timer on Russia cause USA and EU will push for an unconditional cease-fire and if Russia wants a military victory i.e. the Donbass 4 regions, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson, then they are in a hurry if they don’t want a lot of sanctions and tariff if they keep staling the cease-fire.

Russia has around 500-600.000 across the contact line and 2 big tank armies of 150.000 each which can be used as one big punch or 2 smaller ones, imagine a force of 300.000 people moving fast towards an area, it will be a force to recon with, now casualties will be high in such big force but so will the impact be if we will ever see it, now Ukraine has also a big army, 500.000 across the contact zones and another 500.000 guarding the borders towards Belarus in the north and Kiev it self. Rumor has it that the 500.000 men in the contact zones are mostly made of people who were forced into the front by being dragged into cars by the recruitment officers, and people with limited training, but I think one should be careful to underestimate Ukraine even if I agree that the Russians are better trained, Russia’s job is harder then just defending so their casualties should be higher unless Ukraine collapses which could happen under the weight of such a big force, but lets see if the big hammer comes, I want to stress that I want peace but the 2 countries are to far from each other at the moment that more fighting is required before any cease-fire and peace talks can resume if you ask me, sadly.

Another thing, Mercouris said that according to Ukrainian sources then the impact of the many missiles attacks across Ukraine is very hard to deal with, the patriot system could at first hit a few of the Iskander or Kinzhal but because the Russians has tweaked them both and others, they are now much harder to hit during a missile strike and thus Wreak Havoc across the battlefield, a rumor said that another gathering of 80 officers and trainers were hit near a restaurant and most of them were killed, these attacks are a blow every time they happen cause Ukraine lacks training and thus good officers, contrary to Russia who has more of them and better trained.
