EU refuses to stand on it own and in stead hide behind USA and Nato, this has been very clear lately with all the EU meetings and so on, but in order to move forward then perhaps Nato is in the way for a new EU, now understand I don’t want an insane militarization with a deep state and so on, but I do want a more independent EU and also a more open one. That said I want one that can stand on its own and be a force politically but also diplomacy wise, a strong EU should be able to do so if it wants to and here is the problem, as long as Nato is there the EU countries will hide behind it and USA, but perhaps there is another way forward namely that USA disbands Nato and open up a way forward for EU but this chance is very small, its very unlikely that USA disbands Nato cause it benefit and gain so much control from it, so my dream of a new EU is far away and perhaps very naive, a more open EU and a more independent one, but that’s what I want. For now I can only dream of Nato stopping and a new EU emerge.
