It’s no secret that the ruling elite are dismayed of the first round win in Rumania by Călin Georgescu with 24% of the vote in november 2024, and right after the vote got postponed at first but now is cancelled and a new date has to be found, on top of that the intelligence in Rumania has banned any “pro Russian” adds or help and this hurts especially Călin Georgescu who is a right-winger and a nationalist who is against wars and conflict which ofc hurts the current project with a HUGE Nato base being constructed in order to open a new front against Russia even if Rumania voted for Călin Georgescu and against any escalatory moves like building a huge Nato base.

Its not so much as there is any proof of Russian meddling in the election at least nothing that has been proved so far but still the ruling elite both in Romania, EU and Nato doesn’t want Călin Georgescu to win cause his political stance goes against the current authoritarian plans by the ruling elite in the West, furthermore anyone trying to help Călin Georgescu like perhaps X media holding a meeting or something else will be met with a fine of 5% and individual found guilty of aiding him with adds and so on will get banned also.

Now as a lefty I have to speak up for Călin Georgescu cause I understand that if it was a left leaning party like in Germany with Sahra Wagenknecht, who also is against war and conflicts, then she would also have received the same treatment which is unfair, I’m very much against this primitive tribalism where anything that goes against the ruling elite is deemed as aiding Putin, its such a simplistic world view and it favors not democracy at all, its pure authoritarianism and using the Intelligencia in Rumanian against its own people is horrible to witness even if there were to be a few acc being found used by some russian, it hardly is worth noting at all and is yet to be proven at all.

So as the ruling elite cast a massive shadow over Europa, I will remain faithful to the left but also the principles of Democracy which is something we often take for granted in the west, but more and more it is under pressure from various people, look at South Korea who is an ally of the West and the ruling elite where the president tried to grab more power by creating martial law so he could get more power and also perhaps even start a conflict with North Korea, but it ultimately failed and Democracy won and Yoon Suk Yeol, the current president, is being jailed even if he had the protection of the intelligencia in South Korea. So stay strong and dont back down to powers that abuse they position and influence at the cost of Democracy.
