Hope you had a good Christmas Holidays! Hold on cause we are starting with a weird one to begin with, Donald Trump has aired the idea that USA wants to buy Greenland, now this is not the first time he has uttered this idea but lets take a closer look on what is going on here. Alex Christoforou said it correctly that Trump is positioning him selv as extreme as possible by opening up that USA wants to buy Greenland, meaning that this is his starting position and then he will go along with something less dramatic, perhaps another military base in eastern Greenland or something of that nature.

Now you might ask why all of the sudden do they want Greenland, well its because of the artic, the ice is melting fast and new routes could be opening up soon and also there is a battle to claim some of the artic by various country’s, Norway, Canada, Denmark and Russia has a possible claim to parts of the artic and Denmark perhaps even more cause Greenland might be connected to the artic under all that ice. Since USA has no claim they will ofc use Denmark as a proxy against Russia and ofc even better if they actually owned Greenland right? But that aight gonna happen so the next best is to put pressure on Denmark to invest more military resources into Greenland and guess what? Yesterday Denmark announced yet another billion dollar investment onto an all ready increased military budget, I’m guessing more boats and anti submarine crafts or surveillances.

I could imagine perhaps another military base on Eastern Greenland but only maybe, USA might also be keen on the minerals and resources that the ice might reveal once it melts, but bare in mind when it does we wil have a massive ecological disaster with flooding and rising water and more people force to move, perhaps even in the west and not only in the third world, that’s why I wrote Don’t look up cause the movie summed up very well how people all to easily can see a monetary reason to focus that area but forget what consequences it has if the ice were to melt, they only think in profit and can spend insane amount to try and get ahead in that game but money for the people needing it if the water rises? Who cares, lets wait until we are knee deep in trouble before we think of nature, cause after all there is nothing to gain for power people when it comes to nature, but oil and minerals, that’s good business and good for career climbers, yet we must not forget that USA also wants to contain Russia and its northern Bases who for the most part are frozen in most of the year, but that will also change in the future.
