A few thousand accounts seems to indicate that Russia and or China has been trying to manipulate in the Romanian election, now this is a good time as any to ask one self if Social media has too much power, and weather or not we should try and separate social media and politics but that would be hard and require alot of control so that road is also not good. So how do we solve this? Cambridge Analytica famously manipulated with Facebook/Meta and that helped UK leave EU, brexit. Now the company behind it just changed name and kept during its studies on social media according to rumors with no consequences in its role with Brexit, so we already have had issues like now althought a few thousands account in TiKTok sounds like a smaller issues and again we see the polarizing effect in politics that lead up to the Ukrainian conflict.

How do we deal with it? Even ordinary Papers are complicit in misinforming and foul play today cause the war in Ukraine has a lot of controlled narrative like North Korean soldiers in Kursk which has been uttered for month now and yet not one single proof has been delivered, so we could easily also claim foul play and sadly this goes to all media today in many regards, just because a news reporter wrote about it doesn’t mean you can trust anything 100%. I believe we need to let people learn to handle manipulation, people are not stupid but if we are to try wolf towards Russia and China then we also should cry wolf towards USA and Facebook/Meta who has 5 billions accounts, how many of the 5 billion accounts are real? How many are bots used to prop up famous people accounts, like the Kardashians account which is rumored to have over 50% fake views and likes from bot accounts.

If we start with massive control and bans waves then it will be massive and just imagine the power that it gives people to be able to say what goes and what does not go, and again who decides who gets that power? USA? Private people? Elon Musk or whomever? Donald Trump? So you can see its a big question, perhaps its better people decide themselves? like in free speech and people who are dumb or disingenuous they get ignored but people, instead of all this polarizing effect that only creates divided and stupid mentality.
