It’s been a very long time since my last post about Ukraine, but lets take a look at it now, everyone is talking about peace talks and are trying to position them selves, Zelenskyy wants Nato membership in exchange for freeze which is what Trump is aiming for when he takes over so everyone is busy trying to make anykind of positive change to the condition in Ukraine but reality is that Russia is slowly winning the battle, Russia has put a siege to 4 relative big places and Russia has been good at taking the villages around them to create semi-cirkles or cauldrons and imo Ukraine has to be better to defend the villages that flank their important places but they gable on holding them as well as possible cause the bigger places are easier to defend and the small villages are not which is why Ukraine go all in on the bigger places but tactically and strategically this is a mistake imo but im not an expert, but Ukraine seems to aim to hold as long as possible and try to involved other countries to help change the situation on the battlefield and Zelenskyy focuses his media on the small invasion of Kursk in the north but that is just some distraction cause on the real battlefield Russia is winning slowly.

Because of that USA has asked Ukraine to lower the conscription age from 25, which it is now, to 18 but Zelenskyy has said no, he wants more weapons and he face political trouble if he lets the young people into the army cause Zelenskyy is very unpopular atm and if there is an election after trump comes in office then Zelenskyy would want to win that election in order to maintain his role and position, he knows a change of leadership will mean a new course towards peace and Zelenskyy is forced to position him against peace cause there are strong forces in Ukraine that has threaten him if he agrees to peace.

Trump mention some casualty numbers lately but he is only repeating numbers given from Ukraine who claims they have lost 400.000 dead and wounded and Russia has lost 600.000 dead and wounded, these numbers should be taken lightly cause reality is that Ukraine is loosing more men than Russia but we don’t how much, I have only seen numbers from Russia, for instance Ukraine lost around 220.000 dead and wounded in 2023, but in 2024 the numbers are much higher, the casualty numbers is 50-60.000 a month from june-oktober and I must admit I haven’t seen the numbers for November yet.

One thing to note is that we haven’t seen a single North Korean soldier in the front, so after all they are only receiving training in eastern Russia to improve their military and not to participate. This also means that the West looks bad because they used North Korean soldiers as an excuse to use long range missiles in the conflict but Russia is responding with harsh aggression with every ATACMS attack or shadow missiles.

Russia has used a new ballistic missiles called Oreshnik which has room for multiple war heads, this was in responds to the long range missiles from the West which Russia claims escalates everything much more, the Oreshnik is rumored to be able to hit military bunkers deep underground because of its design and it flies hypersonic which is like ten times the speed of sound. We will hear more to the use of the new missiles in repsond to the ATACMS,shadow missiles, SCALP and perhaps Tarus soon provided from the west.
