In an article in the Danish media Politiken a Social-Liberal writer Stawomir Sierakowski throws Angele Merkels reputation under the bus, in a totally one sided attack Stawomir Sierakowski blames Merkel for her politics towards Russia and that she compromised both internal and outer security, also she is blamed for the lack of technological advancement in the industry and in general which is used to argue that this is the reason why Germany is de-industrializing.

There are more critique but these are the biggest and I wanna defend her a bit cause clearly this attack on her is very one-sided. First lets take a look at her politics towards Russia, it is true that Merkel took an approach that USA didn’t like, which was doing trade and reaching peace through Interdependence which has a solid reasoning behind it, if everyone benefit from peace then why would anyone want a war? This was Angela Merkels position which is very valid and thanks to cheap Russian Gas and cheap electricity from France then German industry was thriving and could compete with other countries, this made Germany the main motor in regards to production, many other countries had a hard time keeping their industri but not Germany thanks to Angela Merkel. Now I agree that because of cheap Gas and Electricity it meant that the industri didn’t have to evolve as much and thus fell behind tech-vise, but even with better tech it is impossible to have a huge production ability in Western countries, look at how much USA has sent abroad to Mexico today and China in the Past, Globalization has always meant the destruction of a huge production capacity in Western countries PERIOD.

The statement that Angela Merkel weakened Germany and thus Europa militarily is also a hollow statement, No one in Europa had any serious army for a long time because we have not been into any wars in Europa thanks to TRADE and Interdependence between each other, a strong military only comes via wars and the rapid improvement that follows wars, so no one can have said to have any kind of strong army. I could write a lot of pages on who forced this war upon Ukraine, I will make it short and say USA, best proof is to look at the leaked Rand report which many has deemed fake but if you read the report then the logic is very sound and shows how much an interest USA had in weakening Germany and also France and that was via a conflict that would force Germany away from Cheap Gas and Electricity and if Germany is weakened then the rest of Europa would follow. But claiming Germany is to blame for the lack of military in Europa is hollow, everyone is to blame for that but in particular EU cause it failed to create a small EU army, but that was largely because EU knew that it would be pushed around by USA in all kinds of “Forever Wars” that we are now witnessing, both in Eastern Europa, Middle-East, and soon Taiwan, we all know it is coming yet we don’t do anything to avoid it, the same could have been said about Nato pushing towards Ukraine and risking a conflict which we then got because everyone who looked could see it coming just like anyone looking towards Taiwan can see a conflict already but again everyone does nothing, same thing happen in Ukraine I claim and perhaps even worse EU followed USA and helped start this conflict.

Now Angela Merkel is not perfect but to blame the entire war and de-industrialization on her is again shallow and hollow, a strong EU should have been keeping USA and Russia apart but that didn’t happen, instead they weaponized tribalism and Tribalism is the main reasons for the conflicts we have, look at Georgia, Rumania a total polarization meant to create new fronts towards Russia, it has nothing to do with Democracy or western values, its the elite trying to do what USA wants them to do and it has absolut nothing to do with Democracy. USA still wants Uni-polarity and hegemony and Russia and China has said no, Multipolarity is the way forward and a return to interdependence and away from Polarization and tribalism and the Dollar has the reserve currency should be fought in order to keep peace and prosperity for everyone.
