Surffice to say the duopoly system were brutal to the 3rd parties, not only were they kicked off several ballot and denied ballot acces in many cases but there were also a lot of shady stuff going on around them with bad filled application or signatures which lead to rejection of ballot acces in many cases. Now I knew that Cornel West and Abullah wouldn’t get as much as the Greens who has a bigger outreach but I was hoping for more then what cornel West got, he and Abdullah got 69.730 votes which was less then 10% of what the Greens got, the Greens got 739.519 which was a lot less than the 5% they were aiming for, in fact it was less than 1% which again shows you how brutal this election was to 3rd parties but I hope Cornel West and Abdullah hasn’t lost their faith in the project despite the many problem and obstacles, he chose the long road and this election was about getting on as many ballot as possible, that said then I think they had hoped for some more like many of us had but nonetheless I hope they will keep on going but atm I am waiting for Cornel West to share his thoughts about the election and what the future brings.
