Just saw the movie today and wanna comment on it. If the first movie was about how Joker came to be, then the 2nd movie is how he dies both as Arthur fleck and also as the “persona” Joker. Unlike the first movie then the melancholic scenes and storytelling is mixed with musical pieces and this lift the mood abit and its a good choice, it balances the slow and somewhat sad scenes.

The movie is complex in some way cause like the first movie it plays with reality and if it is a dream and I could have sworn they counted 1 death too little, I believe he killed 7 in the first movie but perhaps 1 of them was mere symbolic which may be very true.

The musical scenes is not for all, but I liked it cause it liftet the mood and made it more balanced and Lady Gaga’s part was decent but the movie did end sadly, hard too see any movie with Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker.

All in all it was not as good as the first, which was good imo, I would give it 3.5 out of 6 stars.
