The biggest topic talked about lately has been the desire from Ukraine to shoot cruise missiles into Russian territory but Russia has called it a red line and threatens with a response but the West is very divided on the issue and its very understandable why. UK and the Baltic states are all for it and wants to escalate, it really shows UK as one of the biggest driving force behind this conflict and we can also look back in 2022 in early April where UK sent down Boris Johnson who derailed a peace deal which was very close to being done, so it is no surprise that UK has it stance, also the Baltic state being neighbors to the conflict that they want USA and the West to escalate.

According to Alexander Mercouris, who has been very informative about this subject, then Germany, France, Italy are much more divided on the issue, even USA is split on the long range cruise missiles, some people says that so many red line has been broken and nothing has happen according to them but I disagree a bit, people forget that the response Putin has promised is when ever they chose it to be and they are dont wanna be forced by the West, they understand very well that Ukraine wants to escalate and turn this conflict into world war 3 or at least risk it, Ukraine has had this weird world view that Russia will somehow just do nothing if their redline are crossed, also they are talking like terrorist again, saying that striking Russia deep inside will somehow make the Russians sympathetic to their situation, but honestly if a highrise building was hit in Moscow would the people not see this as a 9/11 and escalate like crazy? Imagine Russian tv filled with a building burning and falling down… the response would be extreme with demands of harsh reaction.

But just like terrorist they fail to see this from the other side point of view, its is like when the Danish media Berlingske said that a drone hitting inside Moscow will wake up the people and show them of the errors of their ways… spoken like a true terrorist, this is exactly how terrorist thinks and the response is always the opposite, any event going against the materialist reality will always get an opposite response period.

Now interestingly then there is a video circling with a politician from Poland who very openly tells Antony Blinken to get lost and that they dont wanna die for his cause, its very aggressive and shows cracks appearing as reality is starting to sink in, Ukraine is loosing and they are looking for ways to escalate and there is also the fear that USA will “dump” the conflict onto EU, USA has tried with some effort to make EU escalate their militarization and sadly I fear that the reshuffling done by Ursula Von Der Leyen is a move to escalate the militarization which I personally has feared for a long time. I also wanna share an article from Jacobin which explains very well what EU is facing if a militarization is conducted in the next decade or so, it would be super expensive and even worse they want EU to be Geo-political actors with their military which will mean that USA get’s to tell us where to go and fight a conflict, Africa looks very likely to be a battleground in the near future, Russian and USA has bases there and its not unlike China will get bases there in the future either, this should be avoided at all cost but USA loves forever wars and so too does “strongmen” politicians and that is what I fear, wars that USA and Russia or China deems sustainable or even worse desirable, here is the article by Colin Gannon:

To end this post let us take a short look on the war it self, Kursk is showing out to be a trap for Ukraine, their failed their incursion and now they cant leave it, they are atm being pushed backwards by Russia who is now in the process to push the Ukrainians back towards the border and perhaps in a few weeks it will be done, Russia is not forcing any issues cause they are in a dominant position and also winning on all levels, Zelenskyy said that Russia has 12/1 in artillery which is a huge advantages and I believe that Artillery is what kills most people in this war so its easy to see that Ukraine is loosing way more than Russia and we are still hearing of casualties around 2000 a day, June and July had 115.000 together, August was over 60.000 dead and wounded and this month will also be around that number. This are numbers that are unsustainable for anyone and Ukraine are running out of options, the realities are setting in and I think most Western leader understands this even if they ofc dont wanna concede this in public.

One last thing, Russia’s relationships to a country like Iran is also a thing people have to understand, they dont have a defensive pact but non the less they have worked together on issues and yesterday I believe Israel got hit by a cruise missiles and some say it was super sonic but I doubt that, but what ever it was it avoided the iron dome defensive missile shield in Israel and hit its target. Also USA airplane had to leave an area in the middle east because of a surface to air missiles and these changes which perhaps are slow at first but could escalate in the future, especially if Ukraine hits targets in Moscow with cruise missiles. Understand that escalation dosent have to be in the Ukrainian conflict where Russia is winning and where they dont wanna escalate the war because it might force USA into it if they let loose of everything, USA fears far more that Russia will escalate by enabling some of their partners with missile defenses and anti air. So Russia could make a resonse by helping some other countries and USA fears this the most atm, that’s why they are so split, Antony Blinken is for it, but Jake Sullivan isent keen on that idea to provide Ukraine with long range missiles and be allowed to hit deep inside Russia. I personally thing legitimate targets like airfields and bases are ok imo but I think people fear if one of the missiles hits in a major city like Moscow or Saint Petersburg.
