I made a lot of critique a while ago when Margrethe Vestager tried to hire an American into EU, to fight big tech and their breach of competition and tax evasion, but the American had held several positions at the very same people she was suppose to be fighting which I complained about and also I sided with Macron, of all people, against Margrethe Vestager cause she should have known better AND also the idea to have people from outside EU run against the very core idea belief that we should have autonomy inside EU, we must keep EU for members only PERIOD, I still hold that position even if Macron was very blunt and harsh towards Margrethe Vestager who was clearly shaken by the massive critique by Macron.

But I also said that she is one of the brightest inside EU and when Antony Blinken came to torpedo our idea about limiting AI or even a ban then she was standing next to him while he boasted about a guideline for AI but no rules, clearly Margrethe was the towering figure who sadly had to bow before USA in that instance.

It’s only fair that I make a post about the biggest succes against big tech coming from EU and also with Margrethe Vestager at the helm who should be held with very high regards after 2 massive ruling against Google and Apple who regards them selves as untouchables in court.

In the Court of Justice in the EU (in Luxembourg)the case was sanctioned with confirmation of what Margrethe Vestager has been doing for 10 years! Trying to held the big tech accountable to both Tax laws and also breach of competition. Google was fined with 2.4 Billion Euro for violating the Antitrust laws while Apple has to pay Ireland 13 Billion Euro in a case of Tax evasion, must be happy hour In Ireland the next few years 😂.

It has been underway long but the big tech has been dragging it out and kept fighting it cause they regards them selves and the way the conduct business as correct and even Ireland didn’t wanna start a case against Apple but EU took over and did it to make sure Apple dont get of Scott free.

2 terms of 5 year each has Margrethe Vestager run the case against Google and apple and it is very fitting that Margrethe Vestager is ending her term with Bravoure and excellence, she has set a high bar and also paved the path forward for many years and shifting the power back into EU hands who has shown its authority in the courts, the power lies with the EU and not some big tech who fought hard to get their view of how things are done as the right way, EU will stand stronger in the future and that is good for everyone and in this case especially the Irish people who will get 13 billion Euro in the coffers.

She has tried to get the post of head of the European investment bank but I must admit I am unsure if she has any new post waiting for her or if she has to return to Danish politics, sadly the current government has dragged things down to the lowest level and they did threaten her because she was chosen by all the parties but if they want to, then can remove her from the post and a point someone else to EU, ofc not the same high position and atm Ursula Van Der Leyen is still trying to make the commissioner post election to end in a very controlled way, she is still fiddling with post back and forth to get the people she wants… very democratic like or something….
