Kyle from Secular talk just made a video breaking the news that right winged lawyers are helping Cornel West in the states where he was removed because of mistake or rather sabotaged from political actors who are working for the democrats trying to disrupt Cornel West and his party by volunteering and then make false signatures that is used to throw him off the ballot, like they did in North Caroline and recently Michigan.

Now according to Kyle then some right winged lawyers have helped Cornel West getting back on Ballot and ofc the question is what can or should Cornel West do? He cant suspect every volunteer that they are political actors so he can only fight in court to get back on but the help comes from right wingers but does this matter? If all they do is to UN-DO what the democratic party is doing them in my view its rather harmless and the real shady actor is the Democrats while you could view the acts of right winged lawyer as rather benign, after all their action is in the court and so on, not like the Democrats who use political agents secretly.

Personally this does not effect me much that it turns out that the democrats and republicans are fighting each other but I hope they equalise each other and that is only fair In my view, its a shame politics is or can be ugly but this does not surprise me nor do I think Cornel West should blame him self or his campaign leaders, seeking legal advice and help is normal, unlike the actions of the Democrats.

Now Kyle did touch on the idea of rank choice voting system in order to prevent spoilers even if I disagree that all Cornel West is, is a spoiler, he is doing politics by the law and thus he is enacting politics as allowed, if the democrats believe that he is taking voters from the democrats then its up to the Democrats to try and win back those voters, that is how politics is done, besides everyone was scared away from the democratic party because of Joe Biden and the top down leadership which made everyone understood they weren’t gonna have a fair chance within the democratic party, look at RFK J who had 16% while he was within the democratic party in the beginning until he left, if he had stayed he could have been a real contender once Biden made alot of bad appearances but he left because he was feeling the heat.

Cornel West also understood that he had to run outside the democratic party in order to have any chance, but the question is atm if a rank choice system can solve spoilers? Perhaps from the viewpoint of the elite? Remember the so called spoiler label comes from the entitled democratic party who only is interested in more power and if is why a ranked choice system is what they want them it translate into less democracy in my mind because I highly doubt that if this is something the democrats want then its good for any third party runners, if everyone in the democratic party is forced to run in side the democratic party then the issue becomes what about the Super delegates? Even if the greens or Cornel west should emerges in a rank choice voting system then the establishment has the advantages of super delegates and tv time and so on, and independent candidate has the ability to gather voters from both sides, i dont think a rank choice system will allow for this imo, but I could be wrong cause im not an expert but if the only argument for a ranked choice system is to “avoid” so called “spoilers” then I would say no, but thats just my view.
