Only to take part after the other countries had debated the “peace plan” and ready to give it to Russia, so the invitation was just to hand over the Zelensky “peace plan” from all the way back in late 2022. Understandable Russia declined to attend even if a peace talk without Russia is absurd when you think about it but I suspect that USA and the West is trying to keep the polarizing effect and now they have manage to push Switzerland away from beeing neutral and they invited 160 countries which I am sure was all about tribalizing people and polarizing them towards USA and the West, around 90 is set atm to join the “peace talks” while many has decline.

It was not unlike when they were trying to boozt Nato with the Vilnius meeting the 13th july 2023 where Joe Biden even said that Putin already had lost, but afterwords lost his wording as he wanted to explain. My guess is just as this meeting in Switzerland is setup to polarize more countries, it is also setup to maintain the already current countries involved indirectly in the war, Switzerland is just one country they now have pushed away from beeing neutral and more will perhaps follow but at least 70 has said no to the invitation cause many says that a peace deal without Russia is absurd, which is commen sense so in terms of a peace deal the summit has already failed, it will most like be Zelenskyy presenting his usual plan which he has pushed since late 2022 with no change or any realistic prospect to even be a basis for a new plan cause its more like an ultimatum rather than anything else.

It just a huge echo chamber where they will pad eachother on the back and re-afirm their relations and perhaps grow a few more followers but considering USA is enabling Israels ongoing genocide then my guess is that the number of countries who wants to jump on the escalating bandwagon is very low, I even think it is not unlikely they will attempt a non-binding agreements so the mainstream media can spin it until people actually thinks that the “whole world” is behind their plans, but if it is true that it really is just Zelenskyy’s “peace plan” then the whole summit will be a massive fiasko for Ukraine casue it will change nothing and they will be locked in a war they atm are loosing, slowly but surely and watching world leaders drinking alchohol after the talks and even beeing happy while the Ukraine troops are struggleing and have low moral will be a very hard pill to swallow on the frontlines like many of the other big meetings where the politicians were having an afterparty like ending to their meetings.
