I have from time to time followed Yanis Varoufakis because of his role as the Greece finance minister during the time after the crash and his attempt to restructure the debt repayment så they didnt have to sell out of valuable income generating assest to privates but where ultimately forced to do so even if Yanis came close to a deal but USA interveined and rest is history.

Besides beeing well educated in financel, he is a leftist and a real one of that, He can not only speak finance to common people but also at the univercity and also the highest level in EU. He has alot of videos on youtube but sadly Germany of all countries banned him from entering Germany and even tried to ban him in online speeches to german audiences but I think that one failed.

He is part of Diem 2025 which is a EU party or coalition to try and democratize EU from inside by trying to make it more transparent. He is alså part of Mera25 which I believe is national parties beeing formed in several places in EU and he is trying to revive internationalism in the left.
